The Prospector is probably the most famous of all canoe designs and has never been bettered for all-round performance. We are proud to have this as the basis for one of our most successful canoes.
Combining this classic shape, performance with our new CoreLite material, the result is a hard wearing craft that is ideal for centres and enthusiasts who have paddling whitewater high on their priority list.
Standard Fittings: Tough PU gunwales, 2 wood webbing or plastic seats, tough moulded end deck incorporating carrying handle, wooden centre yoke, wooden rear thwart.
Venture Canoes use their own exclusive polyethylene construction material called 'CoreLite'.
All Venture canoes are roto-moulded out of this triple-layered material and are extremely durable and versatile, require little or no maintenance and offer great value for money.
One downside in the past has been weight, but with the development of Corelite, Venture manufacture some of the lightest roto-moulded canoes around!
Corelite combines a central foam core of polyethylene with tough outer and inner skins, which provide the following key benefits:

Improving efficiency through the water and greatly reducing flex in rougher conditions making it a suitable material for canoes which will venture out on to rivers and in rougher conditions. It also has much improved resistance to general denting while in storage and while transporting on your roof rack. |

The lower specific gravity (SG) of our triple layer material increases its inherent buoyancy and makes the canoe float much higher when full of water, assisting with self-rescue techniques. |
